We understand that living with an active drug or alcohol addiction can produce feelings of shame or guilt within a person due to the actions or behaviors that you had within your addiction.

A.D.O.R.N.
At Serenity Oaks, our vision is to ADORN our patients to help facilitate personal growth and change towards a healthy balanced life in sobriety. Your addiction treatment program will incorporate clinical therapeutic support, medical supervision and care, and recreational or experiential therapy opportunities.
In order to support our patients in ADORNing from their addiction, we believe that this is completed in 5 stages;
A- Accountability
During the initial stage of your addiction treatment program, patients will become accountable to their actions and consequences of addiction that has impacted their life or others around them .
D- Dreams, determination, disconnect, or direction
This second stage of addiction treatment is characterized by identifying the harmful habits that have been established during your addiction and beginning to identify how you would want to make changes for the future in sober living.
O- Opportunity
Patients are beginning to build and develop positive, healthy coping strategies while also receiving feedback from peers and staff about their recovery process to ensure that they are receiving optimal treatment progress.
R- Relationships and Restoring
During this fourth phase of addiction treatment, patients will engage in family therapy sessions to help reconnect with their loved ones and rebuild trust within the relationship. Loved ones will develop skills for healthy communication, setting appropriate boundaries with one another, and holding each other accountable.
N- Navigate
This final phase of addiction treatment is characterized by supporting patients to navigate sober living options and the supports that will be needed as you transition into your home environment. Patients are paired with new clients to support as a mentor and support the new person in going through their treatment to help share their experience and knowledge of addiction recovery.

Top Rated Alcohol Rehab Center in Fort Lauderdale
More than 14 million people in the U.S. struggle with an addiction to alcohol. While alcohol is a legal and socially acceptable controlled substance that can be found everywhere from the local supermarket to convenience stores, its use takes on a nefarious role when the individual consuming it can’t seem to stop drinking. Alcohol abuse is associated with a wide range of health problems, some of which can be quite serious. Having a drinking problem can also negatively impact a person’s family relationships, career, and education.
Enrolling in an outpatient alcohol rehab program at Serenity Oaks is the opportunity people need to manage their alcohol abuse disorder and get their lives–and health–back in order. We feature medically sanctioned therapy and an empathetic clinical team who are devoted to helping clients end their dependence on alcohol.
Alcohol Rehab That Allows You to Still Go to Work & School
“Can I still attend work or school while getting addiction treatment?” Yes! Serenity Oaks is one of many addiction treatment rehabs that believes strongly in flexible treatment programming. It’s true that not everyone who begins therapy feels stable enough to continue working or going to school, but many people are and don’t want to take a leave from their obligations.
We feature outpatient alcohol rehab programs that allow clients to attend therapy sessions during the course of the week for the duration of the program while still maintaining their outside responsibilities. Many people in recovery often transition from inpatient treatment programs to outpatient programs in order to continue their therapy and keep their recovery journey on track.
Benefits of Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
Outpatient alcohol rehab doesn’t require clients to spend their entire day in therapy or to reside at the rehab center. They attend our rehab a few times each week depending on their treatment plan and return to their lives afterward. They’re able to get the support they need to manage their addiction successfully while maintaining their responsibilities like work or caring for their families.
Many people want to get help for their addiction but they don’t want to reside in rehab for weeks or months. Outpatient therapy affords them the treatment they need while they rebuild their lives from the comfort of their own home.
What to Expect During Outpatient Rehab
Outpatient rehab is less intensive than a residential rehab stay, but it’s also better suited for individuals who have achieved a level of stability in their recovery and want to transition back to their everyday lives. During their rehab program, they can expect to meet each week with a therapist for one-on-one treatment sessions to continue to develop strategies for managing their triggers to use alcohol. They may also meet for group therapy sessions and other treatments designed to enhance their recovery experience and prevent relapse.
How Long Does Outpatient Rehab Last with Serenity Oaks?
At Serenity Oaks, treatment is flexible and scalable. What does that mean? Sometimes clients find that their recovery goes smoothly. They might complete their outpatient therapy in a few months. On the other hand, some people spend as long as a year in formal treatment. Some individuals may hit a snag in their recovery journey and need a more robust level of support for a period of time. The goal of many addiction treatment centers is to provide treatment for people as long as they need it to achieve stability–and to manage their addiction on their own. In fact, even after outpatient programming is complete, many clients prefer to meet with a therapist each month or attend aftercare programming in order to maintain and build on their recovery progress.
IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program)
Intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment programs usually include daily treatment sessions for clients who may attend therapy four to five times per week rather than two to three times per week for regular outpatient programs. Often, clients who enter an IOP do not require clinically supervised detox or have already been through the detox process in rehab or hospital. Instead of remaining at their rehab after treatment sessions or spending the entire day at rehab, IOP participants can return to their homes and often continue to work or attend to other responsibilities. IOP programs are ideal for people who have a supportive home life and don’t require day-long support.
PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program)
Partial hospitalization (PHP) programs offer more support than IOPs. These programs are designed for people who may be just beginning their recovery process. PHP programs feature day-long treatment programming that involves an extensive level of support. Clients may undergo detox during PHP programming or simply attend their day therapy sessions designed to help them manage their addiction.
Which Outpatient Treatment, IOP or PHP, Is Right for Me?
It’s important to choose the ideal treatment program for you. If you have not been through medical detox, a PHP program may be better suited to your needs. In time, you can transition to outpatient alcohol treatment. On the other hand, if you have been through detox and feel stable and ready to begin the process of transitioning back to your life, the weekly support of an IOP program can help you keep your recovery on course. Additionally, if you feel ready to work or attend school, an IOP program will not impede your plans to do so. At Serenity Oaks, addiction specialists can help you assess your condition and recommend the ideal treatment plan for you.
